- Made in de slowcooker. Wonderful with Indian food or grilled meats
- Mangos: you might be able to get them cheap from the market. I have not tried canned mango, but if you do, try to get light syrup or own juice. Alternative: AH diepvries mango blokjes.
Ingredients
- 5 ripe mango's, peeled, pitted and chopped, about 3 cups
- 5 cm piece of peeled ginger, grated or pureed or chopped very fine
- 4 gloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cinnamum stick or a table spoon of cinnamon
- 6 cloves
- 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 90 ml white vinegar
- 110 gram brown sugar
Procedure
- Mix well and put everything in the slow cooker
- Cook on high for 6 hours, until the whole mixture thickens.
