- Great with ice cream or fresh fruit
- Makes about 1 cup.
- Make it ahead. The sauce can be stored, covered, in the fridge for a couple of days. Reheat gently in the microwave before serving
Ingredients
- ½ to ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 2 ounces bittersweet or semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced
- pinch of salt
Procedure
- Place ½ cup cream, chocolate, butter, and salt in a microwave-safe dish and heat on high for 1 minute, or until cream begins to boil.
- Stir to melt butter and chocolate. If you want a thinner sauce, simply add a touch more cream
