Fish with green chutney
Patra ni macchi is a classic dish often served at wedding feasts. But it’s so easy to make, you definitely should not wait to try it.
This fish and chutney dish is a keeper because you use the chutney to coat the fish and flavour it while it is being steamed.

- Time: 25 min excluding making the green chutney
- Serves: 4
- You need bakpapier en aluminium folie.
Ingredients
- 2 large tilapia or pangasius filets or another firm white fish
- 1/2 cup of Coconut Green Chutney
- 1 1/2 cups of water
Procedure
- Make the Green Chutney (if you don't have it already)
- Slather the fish on both sides with the chutney.
- Wrap in parchment paper (bakpapier)
- Wrap the fish in parchment paper inside a pouch of foil before placing it in your Instant Pot.
- Add water to Instant Pot liner.
- Add trivet.
- Pressure cook on LOW pressure for 2 minutes
- Check for doneness. If the fish is not quite done, put back in the pot, close the lid, and let is steam with the cooker turned of, using the residual heat to finish cooking.
