Radish with anchovy sauce

  1. Rinse the radishes well, and pat dry. Slice them in half, arrange them
  2. on a platter, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Chop the anchovies, and put them in a bowl. Smash the garlic with
  4. the side of a knife, and add it to the bowl. Work the anchovies and
  5. the garlic into a smooth paste with a fork or the back of a spoon. Add
  6. the pepper fl akes, mustard, vinegar, and lemon juice, and mix well.
  7. Whisk in the olive oil. The sauce can also be prepared in a blender.
  8. Serve as a dipping sauce with the radishes.
