Hollandse groentensoep

- This is a traditional Dutch vegetable soep. Apparently I called it "vergeet te betalen soep" when I was 3 or 4.
- Before eating, add some drops of maggi. It is a must!
- Use the recipe for gehakballen for the tiny meatballs
- It is usually eaten with bread or cheese sandwiches as a full meal
Ingredients
- 500 gram diced soup vegetables or make your own from 1 big carrot, 1 leek, chopped parsley, 1 sliced onion, 1 sliced garlic piece, sliced celery stick, dried thyme,
- 200 gram gehaktballen, shaped into tiny balls
- 1 liter of water
- 2 stock cubes (meat)
- any left over gestoofd rundvlees, in small pieces
- broken spaghetti or vermicelli
Procedure
- Form small meatballs from the gehaktballen recipe, the size of marbles
- Put all ingredients in the pot
- Put on high and cook for 35 minutes
