- Red cabbage-and-apple is usually eaten with hachee or rundvlees.
- This recipe requires almost no effort, apart from the peeling and cutting of the apples (use an apple slicer, it saves lots of time) You just throw all the ingredients into the Instant Pot and cook.
- It freezes well. If you freeze, throw out most of the liquid.

Ingredients
- 1 kilo shredded red cabbage
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 apples, peeled and cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 tbs cinnamon
- 1/2 tbs nutmeg or all spice or more cinnamon
- pepper and salt
- 4 tbs red vinegar
- 2 tbs butter
- 100 ml water or apple juice
Procedure
- Put all ingredients into the Instant pot.
- Cook on HIGH for 10 minutes, then natural release.
